- 1 kg of flour
- 1oo gr of sugar
- 100 gr of lard
- 20 gr of salt
- 1 cube of yeast of beer
- 500 ml of lukewarm water
Take a large bowl and put 800g of flour (not all because then always tends to add more flour on the counter), sugar and salt. Add the lard and 250 ml of water.
Mix everything until you get a lumpy compound, at this point you can add the yeast directly into the dough. When the dough requires it add the flour set aside and finally add the other 250ml of water.
Transfer the compound to a plan and work it well. So let it rest for a good half an hour. At this point form balls of about 60 gr (if you want small pieces) or 100gr for larger pieces. Give it the shape you want and put it back to rest.
Let us relax and let’s rest a bit. Turn the oven to the maximum and the temperature, brush the pieces with beaten egg and bake them.
